Remove or temporarily disable an eSIM on iPhone or iPad
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open Settings on your iPhone. |
| 2 | Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data ) |
| 3 | Choose the eSIM line you want to remove. |
| 4 | Tap Delete eSIM (or Delete Plan if you see multiple). |
| 5 | Confirm when iOS asks. |
Need to turn the line off only for travel or troubleshooting? Deactivate instead of deleting.
Re-enable the line any time by switching it back to On.
No. Once removed, the original profile cannot be re-added. Ask your carrier for a fresh activation if you deleted it by mistake.
Deleting the eSIM doesn’t affect the device lock status. If your iPhone is carrier-locked, it remains locked.
