Before you begin
- Deleting erases the eSIM profile from your iPhone. You will not be able to reinstall it unless your carrier issues a new QR code or activation link.
- Deactivating simply turns the line off; the profile stays on the phone and can be re-enabled later.
Most carriers allow each eSIM to be installed only once. Delete it only if you’re sure you won’t need it again.
Option A — Permanently delete an eSIM

| 3 | Choose the eSIM line you want to remove. |
| 4 | Tap Delete eSIM (or Delete Plan if you see multiple). |

The deleted line may linger in the list labelled No SIM. Tap it and choose Update Contacts to hide it completely.
What gets deleted — and what doesn’t
- The eSIM profile is erased from the device.
- Your mobile plan is not cancelled. It will still be on your GitSim dashboard.
Option B — Temporarily deactivate an eSIM
Need to turn the line off only for travel or troubleshooting? Deactivate instead of deleting.
- Go to Settings ➜ Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Tap the eSIM line.
- Toggle Turn On This Line to Off.
Re-enable the line any time by switching it back to On.
Do NOT tap Delete eSIM if you only want a temporary shutdown.
FAQs
Can I restore a deleted eSIM?
No. Once removed, the original profile cannot be re-added. Ask your carrier for a fresh activation if you deleted it by mistake.
Is my phone unlocked after deletion?
Deleting the eSIM doesn’t affect the device lock status. If your iPhone is carrier-locked, it remains locked.
